Quick Replies Fixed: Respecting User Intent in Version 1.0.15

May 4, 2026 — Sometimes, the smallest details make the biggest difference.

Thanks to valuable user feedback, we recently fixed an important usability issue in our Quick Replies feature—making it more intuitive and aligned with real user expectations.

🐞 The Issue: Defaults Reappearing Unexpectedly

Some users noticed a confusing behavior:

When they deleted all Quick Replies, predefined default replies would automatically come back.

This led to frustration, especially for users who wanted a clean interface with zero suggestions.

From a user’s perspective, the expectation is simple:

If I delete everything → nothing should remain.

But that’s not what happened.

🔍 The Root Cause: A Misleading Fallback

Behind the scenes, the issue was caused by a fallback mechanism.

Here’s how it worked:

  • If no custom Quick Replies were found → load default replies
  • This applied in all cases

The problem?

The system couldn’t distinguish between:

  • Users who never created Quick Replies
  • Users who intentionally deleted all Quick Replies

So even when users cleared everything on purpose, the system assumed something was “missing” and restored the defaults.

✅ The Fix in Version 1.0.15

We refined the logic to properly respect user intent.

Here’s how it works now:

  • No Quick Replies ever created → default replies are shown
  • All Quick Replies manually deleted → no replies are shown

Simple. Predictable. Correct.

💡 Why This Matters

This might seem like a small change—but it has a big impact on user experience.

Good UX means:

  • Actions behave exactly as expected
  • Users feel in control
  • No surprises or hidden logic

By fixing this, Quick Replies now feel:

  • More intuitive
  • More reliable
  • More aligned with how users think
